Through the Castilla y León trout season. Spring olives April through May; summer sedges; small dark flies into autumn close.

About this water

The Duratón rises in the Sierra de Ayllón uplands and runs through limestone canyon country south of Sepúlveda before joining the Duero. The river has real wild-trout reaches in the upper basin and Sepúlveda area, but quality is highly tramo-dependent — some sections are excellent fly water, others run through warm, regulated, lower-quality reaches. Treat it as a 'check the exact tramo' venue rather than a blanket recommendation.
