About this water

The Ebro through Burgos province — from the Cantabrian-Burgos border at Arroyo, through Las Merindades, to Miranda de Ebro on the Álava boundary. This is bigger water than the Las Merindades tributaries: a true middle river, partly regulated, with longer holding pools and slower clearance. Wild brown trout dominate, with some coarse fish in the lower stretches. Best fished from late April through June; the middle reaches around Trespaderne and Frías hold the most accessible water.
