Yr Adar sits up under Cnicht with Conglog and Cwm Foel for company, another of the high, remote waters that make you work before you fish. It holds wild brown trout only, small and unstocked, in water that colours and clears with the weather rather than any human intervention. This is the end of the portfolio for anyone doing the llyns as a tour rather than picking off single waters — pair it with a couple of the nearby high lakes on a long day rather than making the walk for this one alone. The reward is as much the ground covered as the fish that come to hand.
