Cwmprysor is Bala and District's one small stillwater beyond the river beats and Llyn Tegid itself — an afterthought in the club's book, geographically, but not without its own quiet appeal. It holds wild brown trout in modest numbers, the kind of water you'd fish on a day when Tegid's too bright or too busy and a smaller, more intimate lake sounds better. There's little to say about it beyond the essentials: no stocking, no boat, no crowd, a short walk to reach it, and browns that behave like browns do on hill water everywhere — sporadic, a little suspicious, occasionally generous. It rounds out the association's offer rather than headlining it, and that's fine.
