Historically important Connemara sea-trout fishery, documented alongside Owengowla in Gargan et al.'s long-running monitoring programme as one of the systems that collapsed in 1989 and failed to recover substantially. The research explicitly links the collapse to the onset of marine salmon farming and exceptionally low marine survival during the sea-lice era. Invermore should be kept in the pack as a heritage-and-decline row rather than as a straightforward modern destination pitch. If the current sporting value does not match the historical fame, say so clearly rather than trading on nostalgia.
