One of the seven rivers that cut the stony valleys of Las Hurdes, Extremadura's most remote and historically isolated comarca. The Hurdaño rises near Casares de las Hurdes and runs down through Vegas de Coria to Nuñomoral — small, steep, granite-walled water typical of the region's ravine terrain. Sin muerte catch-and-release trout fishing follows the same Extremadura mountain rules as the Gredos-side streams: artificial bait, single barbless hook. A remote, quiet alternative to the better-known Jerte/La Vera valleys, with a similar granite character but far less pressure.
