Beats through Hegra and the middle river. Heads, tails, and named lies — many are within single-handed range.
Method
Tubes and large doubles on sink-tip in spring; smaller flies on a floater through the main season. Single-handed accuracy beats double-handed reach on most lies here.
Kit
12 to 13 ft #8 double-hander; 10 ft #8 single-hander on the upper river. Floating line plus fast-sink tip. 10 to 12 lb fluoro tippet.
