A 6.1 km alpine tributary entering the Soča at Žaga, the Učja comes in from Italy through hard-access wilderness — the kind of beat you fish because you're willing to walk for it. Marble and brown trout hold the length, with rainbow and grayling lower down near the confluence. Cold, fast, and about as far from a roadside pull-in as this pack gets.
