A wild peatland Erris system whose sea-trout importance is ecological and cultural as much as catch-driven. The Owenduff drains the Nephin Beg wilderness into Tullaghan Bay — IFI's own overview describes it as an exceptionally attractive salmon and sea-trout fishery, though that language pre-dates current public reporting. The blanket-bog, wild-Erris character is the real reason it belongs in the headline group. Peaty water with very quick response to rain. Completely spate-dependent: unfishable in low water, brilliant in the 12–24 hours after rain. Salmon and sea trout from June. Current public catch evidence is thinner than for stronger headline systems — the story here is about wildness, peatland hydrology and migratory-fish presence rather than a clean recent results graph.
