A short Burgos limestone trout river rising in the Montes de Ordunte and joining the Ebro near Trespaderne. The Jerea is intimate water — narrow, often shaded by oak and beech, with classic small-river pool-and-riffle structure. Wild brown trout only. Best fished from late April through June in the middle reaches around Virués; the upper limestone sections hold up later into summer.
