The Sora forms at Škofja Loka where the Poljanska and Selška branches meet, and reads as classic grayling water that grades into a huchen reach lower down — a genuine dual-season venue rather than a trout river with a huchen tag bolted on. Grayling, brown and rainbow trout, plus nase, chub and barbel further down, and sulec running the lower sectors in winter under RD Sora and RD Medvode. Bag limit is explicit and worth knowing before you go: three salmonids a day, with no more than one grayling and one marble trout in that three.
