An inland Lugo trout river joining the Miño near Portomarín. The Sarria runs through schist-and-slate country with classic Galician interior character — wooded, broken, often slow to clear after autumn rain but steady through May and June. Wild brown trout only. Best fished in the middle reaches around Sarria town and downstream towards the Camino crossings, where pool-and-riffle structure gives short-line nymph fishing and pocket-water dry fly all the cover an angler needs.
