About this water

Norway's most famous grayling river — long glides, rich insect life, and big grayling (40–50 cm regularly). Also holds excellent brown trout. Technical dry-fly and nymph fishing over visibly feeding fish. CDC emergers, Klinkhåmers, and small dries are the standard approach. Prime window July–September. Local fiskekort required. A counterweight to Norway's salmon-dominated image — proof that Norway offers world-class trout and grayling fishing too.

What would change the calculation
Cooler water — back toward the 4–14 °C ideal band — would lift the score and ease welfare.
The dawn and dusk windows score higher than the midday lull.
