Clear, steady, alkaline water over gravel with the sort of weed growth that belongs on the Test. Wild brown trout and sea trout that have seen every fly in the book and learned to refuse most of them. The catch-and-release culture is strong and the access is tight — association membership or guided days are the realistic routes. Worth the effort. This is as good as Danish river fishing gets.
