A hill stream running down from Huyuan township to Chang'an in the Fuyang district of Hangzhou, and on into Zhuji. A Hangzhou paper profiled a local angler on it in August 2026 who calls it the ceiling among the city's streams — stone shoals every few hundred metres, clear water, and the freedom to wade in wherever you like. It holds 溪石斑, 宽鳍鱲, 长鳍鱲 and 马口, with mandarin fish now and then, and it fishes from May to October. It is the only wild Chinese river in this pack whose quarry is entirely unprotected, which after Sichuan, Yunnan and the Altai is the rarer thing.
A clear hill stream south-west of Hangzhou, running over pale stone shoals that repeat every few hundred metres from Huyuan down to Chang'an. You can step in almost anywhere. The fish are small, native and quick, and the season is the warm half of the year.
