A south-coast sea-trout river near Kirkjubæjarklaustur, around 22 kilometres long, rising at Geirlandsbotnar at about 500 m elevation. Part of the Battle Hill Lodge system alongside Vatnamót and Fossalár, and one of the Skaftá tributary cluster that forms the heartland of Icelandic sea-trout fishing. Two waterfalls punctuate the course, and the lower beats hold the main sea-trout water. Arctic char also present. This is a small, intimate river where stealth and fine presentation matter more than distance.
