About this water

The Bull River is a clear, muscular Kootenay cutthroat freestone east of Cranbrook — pools, pockets and canyon water holding native westslope cutthroat and bull trout in dramatic country. Partly hydro-regulated upstream, it fishes well for summer and autumn cutthroat on the dry once it's in shape. A fine, sensitive native river.
