Amicalola Creek runs through Dawson Forest an hour north of Atlanta, a bedrock-and-shoal creek on the edge of the Piedmont that Georgia stocks for Delayed Harvest each winter. Between Steele Bridge Road and GA 53 it's catch-and-release on single-hook artificials from November to mid-May, and it's one of the closest real trout streams to the city. It sits low and runs warm by trout standards, so it's strictly a cool-season fishery. It also rises fast after storms.
