About this water

Abborresjön ("Perch Lake") is the namesake and hub water of Abborresjöns fiskevårdsområde, sharing a day-ticket with Böljesjön, Ottersjön and Stora Kroksjön in the Ale/Lerum forest country north-east of Gothenburg. Both fly fishing and traditional spin fishing are permitted (a trailing fly ahead of the lure is allowed on spin tackle; bombarda and plastic floats are not). All brown trout are protected and must be released unconditionally. Float-ring wading is permitted year-round except 1 May. The club lodge sits at Ranneberg, Kollanda, near Älvängen.
