Fish this when
Sight-nymphed to spotted fish in clear water, run through pocket water, or hung under a dry as a dry-dropper. Weight it to reach the fish's level fast; go heavier in pushy or coloured water.
Why it works
A buggy, flashy, generic profile that suggests the abundant Deleatidium and cased-caddis nymphs without imitating any one exactly — and the copper rib adds the trigger of weight and sparkle. It is the most-used nymph in New Zealand for good reason.
