When
Through the open trout season — the Touvre runs from one of France's largest karst springs at constant temperature, fishing well year-round within the season.
Where
Pool tails and weeded glides below the karst springhead. The Touvre is short, intimate, and almost chalk-stream in character.
Method
Upstream dry to spotted rising fish; long fine leader. The water reads clear — careful approach matters more than fly choice. Move slowly upstream, cast accurately, accept the result.
