About this water

A short alpine Esla tributary draining the Picos de Europa flank south of Boca de Huérgano. The Remolina is high-mountain trout water — limestone-and-shale bedrock, plunge pools, broken pocket water. Wild brown trout only. Best fished from late May through July after snowmelt has dropped back; the upper meadows above Remolina village hold up into early August.
