A Pisuerga tributary running through the Valdavia country between Ventanilla and Ruesga. Mixed geology, generally lower-gradient than the Picos-flank Pisuerga headwaters, with classic pool-riffle structure through wooded country. Wild brown trout throughout. Best fished from late April through June in the middle reaches; the river warms quickly in summer and is best left until autumn no-kill stretches reopen.
