About this water

A Carrión headwater draining the Fuentes Carrionas above Cardaño de Arriba. Alpine limestone trout water — short, steep, pocket-pool structure through the high mountain valley. Wild brown trout only. Best fished from June through July after snowmelt has cleared; the upper meadows above 1300 m hold fishable conditions into early August.
