The Minipi watershed is the world's most famous destination for trophy brook trout (Salvelinus fontinalis). Lake and river system producing brook trout averaging 2–3 kg with fish over 4 kg regularly caught — sizes virtually unknown elsewhere. Woolly Bugger (olive and black), Muddler Minnow, and streamers dominate the lake fishing; dry flies (Royal Wulff, Elk Hair Caddis) effective in tributaries during insect activity. Remote fly-in lodge access only. Season July–August. This is the benchmark brook trout fishery worldwide.
