Sibson is a Cambridgeshire stillwater complex on the flat fenland edge, a set of lakes that have settled into the landscape and grown a reputation as dependable trout water. The fishing is mixed-character — stocked rainbows that come willingly when fresh and turn cagey with experience, plus browns for those prepared to slow down and target them. Being lowland water it warms fast, so the spring buzzer fishing arrives early and the high-summer middle of the day can go dead and require an early start or a late finish. Watch for the porpoising rise that says fish are taking pupa in the film — it's the most reliable signal Sibson gives you, and the one worth waiting for.
