A small Trasmiera coastal river joining the sea near Beranga between the Asón and Miera estuaries. Short, mostly lowland, with mixed limestone and sandstone bedrock. Wild brown trout in the middle reaches above Hazas de Cesto; small sea-trout (reo) interest in the lower estuary. The Campiazo gets very little fishing pressure — a quiet alternative when the bigger Trasmiera rivers are busy.

In Cantabria's shorter mountain and foothill trout rivers, fish make the most of spring olives and stoneflies in clear windows between freshets, then switch to evening caddis and small buzzers through the warmer months, with terrestrials becoming a key option in sheltered glides and under tree cover once summer settles in.
