Tups Indispensable

Ocher dry for pale olives
Trout · GraylingSurface

A Devonshire pattern from the old guard, dressed in fibres from the ram's fleece — pink and cream and something that catches light underwater. Dries or wet, it's called indispensable for a reason.

Fish this when

Fish this on chalk streams and limestone rivers during pale olive emergences—spring and autumn mainly. Works on both bright and dull days.

Why it works

Ocher and cream dubbing mimics the natural coloration of pale mayflies better than pure pale yellow. The sparse hackle sits delicately without drag.
