A pale olive or tan perdigon for alpine streams — the hard varnished body cuts through fast current to reach depth in a fraction of the time a dubbed nymph would take. At altitude, the nymphs are lighter in colour than lowland equivalents. This matches that reality and gets there fast.

Dropper on a two-fly rig in fast, clear alpine water, above or alongside the heavier stonefly anchor. When the current is demanding and the fish are holding tight to the bottom.
