One of the signature modern mullet flies from the MacLeod range. Effective dead-drifted in current — but one of the few mullet patterns that fish may also chase on a fast, unexpected retrieve.

Fish this when

Thick-lipped grey mullet in clear tidal current. Dead-drift first; try the speedy retrieve if fish are tracking but not taking.

Why it works

A proven, specific shrimp profile. The speedy retrieve option is unusual for mullet — but MacLeod notes it works on the Spectra Shrimp when nothing else will.
