A slim-profile jig nymph for clear, low water where a fat, heavy nymph alarms selective fish. The reduced body and lighter tungsten bead sink more slowly, giving the fly a more natural descent in shallow runs and clear pools.

Fish this when

In clear, low summer water on European rivers when fish are spooky. As a dropper on a two-nymph rig above a heavier anchor, or on a single nymph with a fine leader.

Why it works

A slim profile displaces less water and sinks more naturally than a bulky nymph. In clear, educated water where fish examine every fly, a slim jig drifts like the real thing rather than falling like a lead weight.
