The silver-bodied member of the Dabbler family — bright, flashy, and particularly effective on grey, overcast days when dark patterns are refused.
Fish this when
March to September on Irish loughs, especially when trout are fry-feeding or during the Mayfly. Fish it on the bob dropper of a drifting cast, dibbled hard in the wave.
Why it works
Silver body reads as fry from a distance and stays highly visible in low light. The Dabbler's bronze mallard cloak traps light and air against the body for a soft, translucent glow rather than a hard outline.
