Pinned by a balance bead so it hangs horizontal under an indicator at any depth — typically 1.5 to 4 metres on winter stillwaters. Black, olive and brown core colours, with a small flash strand for visibility in murky water.
Fish this when
Cold-water months on stillwaters, canals and marina corners. Set the indicator to perch depth, cast to known holding water near pontoons or weed walls, watch the indicator.
Why it works
Pulses with the slightest wave action while sitting at exactly the depth you set it. Lethargic winter perch will take a balanced leech when they will refuse anything fished actively.
