Partridge and Olive
Olive soft-hackle variant
Trout · GraylingSubsurface
Partridge hackle over olive silk — the North Country classic for olive hatches. Dead-drift it through the head of a pool or swing it gently across the stream; the partridge fibres open and close with the current like an emerger struggling to escape its shuck. On northern rivers during a hatch, it is the only fly you need.
