A small Blob-pattern body attached to a booby foam bead — compact, buoyant, visible, and unashamed. The Mini Blob Booby hovers seductively in the water column on a washing-line rig and catches stocked trout with tedious efficiency.

Fish this when

Washing-line rig: point fly below a buoyant top dropper. The booby bead suspends the fly at a fixed depth set by the leader length. Also effective on a short leader with a slow-sink line, hovering mid-column.

Why it works

The booby bead keeps the body hovering at a consistent depth. The Blob body provides colour and bulk without weight. Both characteristics combine to make it very easy for stocked trout to find and take.
