Fish this when
Fish it on the swing or lift at the end of a wet-fly drift through the top foot of water during a caddis emergence, when pupae are actively rising off the bottom toward the surface.
Why it works
The translucent Antron sheath refracts light the way the natural's self-generated gas bubble does, giving off the glow that flags an ascending, vulnerable pupa rather than a settled adult.
