Fish this when

In warm, low-to-medium summer water when salmon are difficult takers. The GP can provoke fish that have ignored everything else.

Why it works

Salmon retain a memory of marine food — prawns and shrimps are part of that memory. The GP works because it triggers something real, not just visual aggression.
