The house fly of the Delphi fishery in Connemara. A classic silver-bodied hairwing on a low-water single or double, dressed sparse and fished across and down on a floating line through the clear peat-stained pools of the Bundorragha system. In summer low-water conditions when fish are not moving to bigger patterns, the Delphi Silver's slim, bright profile gives them something to focus on without alarming them.

Fish this when

Summer low water on clear spate rivers. When fish are visible but not moving to large patterns. Size down to 10 or 12 on a floating line.
