Cosseboom

Canadian Atlantic salmon classic
SalmonMid-depth

One of the great Canadian Atlantic salmon patterns — silver body, olive-green wing, green tag and tail, yellow throat. John Cosseboom tied it for the Margaree River in Nova Scotia and it spread to every Atlantic salmon river in the world. When in doubt, the Cosseboom catches fish.

Fish this when

Summer and autumn on any Atlantic salmon river. Especially at home on the Maritime rivers where it was developed, and on Irish and Scottish rivers where Canadian patterns have always performed.

Why it works

The olive-green and silver combination presents a natural but visible profile. The Cosseboom swings with excellent action and the green tag provides a reliable trigger point.
