Warm, still early-summer evenings into dark, fished static or with the tiniest twitch along lake margins and over lowland water when the beetles are flying.
Why it works
The dark, palmered, low-floating profile reads the brown beetle in failing light, and the great dusk falls bring fish hard onto the surface along the margins — a true after-dark game.
