Coloured or slightly stained water, overcast conditions, urban rivers. Fish that cannot easily see a silver or pearl streamer.
Why it works
Chartreuse is visible in a wide range of water colours and light conditions. For asp, visibility matters — if they can't see the fly, speed of presentation is wasted.
