The Urumea flows through San Sebastián (Donostia), making it the most urban trout-and-sea-trout river in the pack. Despite its proximity to the city, the middle and upper sections retain enough wild spate-river character to reward careful timing after rain. Lower reaches are more compromised by development, but the middle basin still offers practical trout fishing with some migratory sea-trout interest.
