The Tadami winds through the deep-snow wilderness of Oku-Aizu, a remote valley of dams, gorges and beech forest where iwana and yamame run wild and the railway threads the hillsides above the water. Back-country keiryu, quiet and little-pressured, in some of Honshū's heaviest snow.
