About this water

Sweden's most famous Atlantic salmon river and one of Europe's legendary mixed salmon-and-sea-trout venues. The Mörrum has held a salmon fishery since medieval times and produces trophy-class multi-sea-winter fish regularly. Uniquely among Swedish salmon rivers, it is a spring-run fishery — Sveaskog's own material says most salmon migrate upriver from the end of April to the middle of June. Fresh sea trout are highlighted from March through July, with an autumn return component. Established beat system with Sveaskog management, public catch visibility, and mandatory registration. All fish are released under the current catch-and-release regime. Clear water, responsive to rainfall. Mix of Sveaskog and public beats. Fiskekort from iFiske.
