A 300-acre rich limestone lake in Roscommon, just north of Ballinlough, with wild and stocked brown trout averaging a pound and a half and fish to three or four pounds. It is renowned for its mayfly — prolific from mid-May into July — followed by a strong sedge season and dapping into the autumn. Midland Fisheries Group permit. The access is good for once, with a pier on the south shore.
