The buzzer is on. Damsel Nymph may also come into play as the day warms. The ripple is helpful — fish should move onto the feed and a slow-drifted team or single wet will cover water well.

About this water

A natural lake in the heart of the Lake District near Hawkshead, managed as a commercial trout fishery. Stocked with rainbow trout and an increasing population of brown trout. Bank and boat fishing with boats for hire on-site. Fly fishing tuition and all-day fly fishing courses available. Well-stocked tackle shop, lakeside café and osprey safari boat trips. One of only two natural lakes in the Lake District to have sustained commercial trout fishery management, making it a distinctive addition for Lake District trout anglers.
