A clear limestone river draining Loughs Lene and Bane down through Raharney to the Boyne. It throws the sort of hatches that make a limestone river worth the name — upwings, sedges and diptera in good number — and the trout have come back well since the drainage works, with wild fish to over two pounds. It fishes best early, before the weed sets in and turns every drift into a negotiation. Deel and Boyne Angling Association water; dry-fly only from Raharney to Inan Bridge.
