The Copper — properly the Zymoetz — meets the Skeena near Terrace and is as good as it is moody. It holds strong steelhead in big, powerful runs, but it's glacial and flashy and a notorious upper-canyon slide keeps its clarity guessing. Time it on the drop after weather and it's exceptional swung-fly water; catch it dirty and you'll wish you'd fished the Bulkley. September into October is the window.
The Copper — the Zymoetz — joins the Skeena near Terrace and is a beautiful, powerful river that holds strong steelhead but carries a glacial, weather-driven temperament. It blows out and colours readily, and a long-standing upper-canyon slide makes its clarity unpredictable. When it's in shape it's superb swung-fly water; the whole game is timing it against the weather and the glacial pulse.
