One of at least three Slovenian waters called Cerknica, and easily the one most likely to be confused with the other two — it is neither Cerkniščica (the Ljubljanica-basin stream near Cerknica town) nor Cerkniško jezero (the intermittent lake). This Cerknica is an Idrijca tributary managed by RD Idrija as District B — a named catch-and-release district in its own right, carrying marble, hybrid and brown trout alongside grayling.
