Bluff Creek is a two-mile spring creek in the Kettle Moraine southeast of Whitewater, among the nearest genuinely wild trout to Chicago. WDNR rates its upper reach Class I trout water with a naturally reproducing brown trout population (headwaters to CTH P are also an Exceptional Resource Water), and the lower end is stocked. It's tiny, brushy and cold all summer from its springs, so it's all short casts, careful wading and patience. Numbers are low and the fish are wild, so treat them that way.
